A 30-Year Journey Through Tech—and Why This Conversation Matters Now More Than Ever
For most of my life, technology has been more than just a career—it has been the lens through which I view the world. Over the past 30 years, I’ve witnessed technology evolve from simple tools that solved everyday problems into complex systems that shape our attention, emotions, interactions, and even our identities. I’ve seen innovation transform industries, empower communities, and unlock opportunities we once thought impossible. But I’ve also seen the consequences that rarely make it into marketing campaigns.
So why am I doing this? Why create a space dedicated to questioning, analyzing, and reframing our relationship with technology?
It’s simple: because the story we’ve been told about technology is incomplete.
The Myth of Inevitability
We often hear that technology is “inevitable,” that resistance is pointless, and that progress will march forward regardless of human input. But inevitability is a narrative crafted by those who benefit most from acceleration. In reality, every technological shift involves choices—about design, ethics, policy, and values. And those choices impact millions of lives.
After decades inside the industry, I’ve learned that technology is not neutral. It reflects the priorities, incentives, and blind spots of the people who build it.
The Rise of Tech-Driven Life
Today, technology is no longer just something we use; it’s something we live inside. It shapes how we communicate, how we work, how we learn, and how we spend our free time. Algorithms decide what we see, what we buy, and—sometimes—what we believe. Convenience has come at the cost of attention. Connection has come at the cost of privacy. And productivity has come at the cost of mental peace.
For years, we celebrated innovation without asking what it was doing to us. Now, we’re feeling the consequences.
Why This Platform Exists
This platform is not anti-technology. Far from it. It’s an invitation to have the conversations that Silicon Valley rarely entertains—conversations about:
Mental health in the digital age
Surveillance capitalism
The erosion of human autonomy
Algorithmic influence over our behavior
Who actually benefits from rapid innovation
My goal is simple: to create space for honest, human-centered dialogue.
A Call for Conscious Tech Use
We don’t need to reject technology. We need to use it consciously. We need transparency, accountability, and a renewed understanding of how deeply tech influences our lives.
I don’t have all the answers. But I do have decades of experience, real concerns, and a genuine desire to spark meaningful discussion.
That’s why I’m doing this.Because the future of technology shouldn't be left in the hands of a few—it should be shaped by all of us.
